More Tenn. Schools Close Due To Weather

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Prepare for some wicked winter weather. Snow storms could move in just in time for rush hour Friday afternoon.

Forecasters predict anywhere from two to four inches of the white stuff will fall in parts of Tennessee and Kentucky.

Tennesseans can also expect snow this weekend, with as much as six inches falling in northern sections of the state.

Salt trucks throughout the region have been laying down brine to try to keep the roads from getting too slick, but drivers should use extra caution as conditions will likely become hazardous.

The National Weather Service has a winter storm warning set to go in effect from 6 p.m. Friday until 12 p.m. Saturday for Robertson, Sumner, Macon, Clay, Pickett, Cheatham, Davidson, Wilson, Trousdale, Smith, Jackson, Putnam, Fentress, Williamson, Rutherford, Cannon, Dekalb, White, Cumberland, Warren, Grundy and Van Buren counties.
