Putnam County

Cookeville police said someone used a tow motor to "push in" the back wall of a scrap metal business.

In another case, burglars used a ladder to get onto the roof of a body shop and then broke out a skylight.

They tossed a rock through the window of a finance company.

Montgomery County

Clarksville could join the growing group of cities to use cameras to catch red-light runners. A demonstration is planned for the city's council meeting on Thursday. It will be held at the Montgomery County Board of Education. The demonstration begins at 6:30 p.m.  It is open to the public.

Maury County

Mule Day is underway in Maury County. The annual Mule celebration runs through Sunday. Thousands of people will be in Columbia this week for all of the fun and festivities, which include arts and crafts, dancing and a mule show.
