OAK RIDGE, Tenn. - Oak Ridge police have been staying busy this spring, but it's not your typical predator that has their phone lines ringing off the hook.
Dispatchers received about 20 calls over the weekend from folks who spotted a roaming black bear.
Another bear was tranquilized and moved back into the forest earlier in June after he roamed parts of Oak Ridge and was caught near a Knoxville mall.
According to experts, springtime is when younger male bears roam after the older ones have chased them off.
