NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Harold Ford Jr. was in Nashville Friday, and the former congressman has scheduled to stay the rest of weekend in Music City for the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Summer Conference.
Ford was asked to be the keynote speaker at the 2008 conference themed as "Building Communities Together - Not Just The Same Ole Song."
Friday Ford talked a lot about a new energy platform for America and drilling for oil offshore.
Ford also said he's a hybrid car driver, and while the United States has significantly decreased its miles on the road, there were more ways to save energy and oil.
The Conference has been scheduled to end Sunday.
