Police have responded to a shooting that injured one person in Wilson County.
Officers responded to Carthage Highway and East Main Street around 5:35 Thursday night.
They found one man with a gunshot wound near a vehicle with damage.
It was unclear whether or not the shooting victim was connected to the vehicle.
No one has been taken into custody, but officials believed there was no immediate threat or danger to the public.
The victim was flown to the hospital in critical condition.
Police said they would be working to get surveillance video from nearby businesses during their investigation.
