A woman was killed in a crash in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
The wreck happened at 8:05 a.m. Sunday in the 5400 block of Plano Road.
Authorities said a single vehicle left the roadway, hit a utility pole, and flipped.
A passenger in the vehicle, identified as 33-year-old Jessica Whitledge, of Alvaton, Kentucky, was killed in the crash.
The driver of the vehicle, 24-year-old Reginald Sprowl, of South Carolina, was taken by helicopter to a hospital in Tennessee for his injuries. He was last listed in critical condition.
Reports stated drugs, alcohol, speed, and weather conditions were all believed to be factors in the crash. The investigation remained ongoing.
