Metro Nashville Police officials reported the bullets that hit a woman and child during a domestic situation in Antioch were likely fired by officers.

The incident happened last week. Metro Police shot 52-year-old Michel Guirguis last Tuesday morning.

He had an order of protection filed against him, but police found Guirguis pinning his wife down with a gun against her head, and the situation quickly escalated.

The investigation is ongoing, but Metro Police Spokesman Don Aaron said it's likely the two females were injured by police gunfire just after the confrontation began.
