Authorities launched an investigation into a possible hate crime after two locations in Wilson County were vandalized.

Both Round Lick Baptist Church and a post office, which are located only about a mile apart, were both vandalized.

Police believe the incidents are connected because the same white paint was used to target both locations, in addition to area street signs and mail boxes.

Satanic references and other vulgarities directed at police were spray-painted in white on the church.

Several pentagrams and the phrase, "Satan is good,” were also written on the building and signed, "From Us."

As for the post office, The Lebanon Democrat reports swastikas could be found among the graffiti on the side and back walls of the building. Because it’s a federal building, police want to pursue federal charges and are treating this as a hate crime.
