A teacher from Blackman Middle School was arrested over the weekend and charged with aggravated assault and domestic assault.
Eric Moore, age 41, was arrested Sunday. Details about the allegations against Moore and the situation leading to the arrest were not available.
Reports indicated Moore was held for a mandatory 12-hour “cooling off” period, and then bonded out.
Moore was listed on the Blackman Middle School website as an 8th grade history teacher and the boy's basketball coach.
Officials with Rutherford County Schools said their offices were closed for the three-day weekend, and so no action has been taken. They planned to review once the office reopened.
