The search is on for a hit-and-run driver who left a pedestrian to die in the street.
Metro Nashville Police say an unknown driver in a dark-colored Ford Fiesta hit a man at 340 Harding Place just after midnight Saturday. Witnesses say the driver initially pulled over but panicked and fled after seeing how badly the victim was injured.
Officers described a grisly scene left behind. The man died from his injuries. Surveillance video from a nearby business may show the incident.
