The family of the middle Tennessee man hit and killed while walking on I-24 on July, 12 gathered Wednesday evening to remember him.

The last time Terrance Kindall's cousin, Diamond Hill, and many of his friends and family saw him was on July, 4. One week later he was tragically killed.

Terrance was on I-24 around 2 a.m. His vehicle was out of gas so he was walking on the side of the interstate near Medical Center Parkway. That's when he was struck and hit by another vehicle.

Now his family is struggling to come up with the money to bury him. "My aunt has a certain time frame to come up with a certain amount or they're talking about cremation and none of us want that," said Hill.

His family wants a place to visit him so they've set up a GoFundMe account to try and raise $11,500 to cover the end of life expenses. "You don't really miss a person until they're not there," Hill said crying.
