Crews were called to the scene of a house fire near the midtown area of Nashville.
The incident was reported before 6 a.m. Thursday at a home on Clifton Avenue, not far from Charlotte Avenue.

Crews with the Nashville Fire Department said a couple of squatters were inside the home and started a fire to stay warm.
Sky 5 flew over the scene and showed thick smoke billowing from the house. Firefighters were seen cutting holes in the roof in an effort to put out the blaze.
No injuries were reported.
