Multiple crimes led to a pursuit through Montgomery County.

The incident began in Oak Grove, Kentucky Thursday morning when three people allegedly stole items from a business and tried to flee.

As they were leaving, they rammed into two Oak Grove Police Department patrol vehicles.

Police in Oak Grove contacted the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office for assistance.

Reports stated the driver, identified as 23-year-old Sinquan Smith, was fleeing down Interstate 24 with 35-year-old Latorya Brooks and 22-year-old Rhoneshai Vaughn.

Along with the help of officials from the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office, authorities were able to disable Smith’s vehicle on the interstate at mile marker 31 for New Hope Road.

Authorities said Smith was arrested and charged with felony evading and driving on a revoked license.

Officials stated Brooks and Vaughn were both released after being cited for misdemeanor theft.

Further charges were pending from the Oak Grove Police Department.
