Two men were arrested after a traffic stop when officials found more than 50 pounds of marijuana.

Officials said a Kentucky State Police trooper and a deputy pulled over a vehicle around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 24 in Christian County, Kentucky.

The two men in the vehicle were identified as 35-year-old Yariel Hernandez, of Hialeah, Florida and 39-year-old Reynaldo Licor, 39 of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

A K-9 alerted authorities near the rear passenger side of the vehicle.

The officials received consent to search the vehicle and found 52.6 pounds of marijuana in several large canvas bags and a suitcase.

Hernandez was charged with following another vehicle too closely. Both were charged with trafficking marijuana.

The two were booked into the Christian County Detention Center.
