One cupcake at a time, 6-year-old Adalyn Nace, or "Adie" for short, has spent a lot of time in her mom's kitchen.

The two have spent the last few days baking Adie's love for others into dozens of cupcakes.

"I had no idea we'd have over 300 cupcakes ordered," her mom Nichole Nace laughed.

It started as a conversation several weeks ago as her parents worked to start a non profit called Local Initiatives.

"I think just over the last couple months of us talking she's been asking questions, things have been stirring," said Nichole.

The thought of people spending their days and nights in the streets weighed heavy on the little girl's heart.

"Wednesday night she just started bawling. She started crying, she wanted to help the homeless, she wanted to get them a house, get them a bed, make sure they had breakfast and lunch," Nichole explained.

Nichole knew she had to do something so she posted to Facebook. It was a friendly invitation to buy cupcakes from Adie with the proceeds going to help the homeless.

"Within an hour I had five orders, and I woke up the next day and we ended up having 23 or 24 orders," said Nichole.

Adie's initiative has been quickly spreading.

"I thought, we'll get $30 and be able to buy a couple cases of water. It's turned into we're up to $300 now. Our goal is to fill a hundred bags to give out to the homeless on Tuesday night with an organization called Beautiful Lives Ministry," said Nichole.

Adie is a beautiful little girl with a heart of gold who's showing her parents and the world, there is hope.

"We can all come together and do something, and if a 6-year-old is leading the way, let's follow," Nichole said.

For anyone who would like to make a donation or order cupcakes, email Nichole Nace at nacegirl@gmail.com.

The family has planned to head to the Veterans War Memorial in Nashville on Tuesday evening to distribute bags full of essentials to give to the homeless.
