MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - A woman accused in a Rutherford County cold case murder has been declared incompetent to stand trial. Charges have been dismissed.
Reports said 31-year-old Sara Parsons has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of 44-year-old Phon Siharath on May 17, 2007.
According to reports, Parsons had been a suspect ever since Siharath was found dead from a gunshot wound to his head in his Grange Place home off of Asbury Road in Rutherford County.
Officials said a 9 mm handgun used in the murder was found at the scene.
