A man has been facing serious charges after police said he held up a woman at gunpoint and stole her car.

According to the arrest report, the victim left her cellphone in the car, and police were able to locate it by pinging its signal.

They tracked the car to the Southwood Park Apartments off of Glastonbury Road, not too far from the Nashville International Airport.

Officers had a good description of the car and saw the driver pull into a dead end road inside the complex.

Reports stated the officer turned on his lights, and that's when Johnvontae E. Jackson bolted from the car.

The officer chased him down and later the victim identified Jackson as one of the people who had carjacked her.

However, the victim said Jackson was just one of multiple people who had held her up at gunpoint, so police have been working to track down the others.

Anyone with information has been asked to call the authorities.
