Country star Hillary Scott picked up two new Grammys along with her family.

Hillary Scott & The Scott Family's "Thy Will" won the award for "Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song,” and "Love Remains," the album on which the song appears, won for "Best Contemporary Christian Music Album."

Scott was honored by Middle Tennessee State University Saturday night in Los Angeles.

She was one of four Grammy nominees with ties to the school.

While she was unable to attend the event due to the flu, her father, Lang Scott, and her little sister, Rylee, were able to make it in her place.

MTSU capped off its Saturday in Southern California with a concert honoring legendary singer Loretta Lynn.

It was co-sponsored by the Americana Music Association and was held at the Troubadour Club in West Hollywood.

For the third straight year, MTSU's Department of Recording Industry has been recognized by the Hollywood Reporter. It ranked 18th on the list of Top 25 Music Schools in 2016.

The list also included Julliard and London's Royal College of Music.
