Police in Franklin have arrested a Nashville man who they said jumped from a vehicle that was traveling in front of an officer.

The incident happened around 3:45 p.m. Monday on Bakers Bridge Avenue in Cool Springs. Reports stated officers were attempting to stop the vehicle that 27-year-old Robert Lucas jumped from.

Later, authorities captured Lucas as he was hiding in a stall in the women’s bathroom inside of Logan’s Roadhouse.

There was a brief struggle during his arrest when he became combative in the bathroom.

According to reports, Lucas told officials he had gone into the bathroom to inject heroin.

Officers confirmed they found evidence that heroin had been in the stall with Lucas. They added Lucas had attempted to flush it down the toilet.

He has been charged with resisting stop/halt/frisk and tampering with evidence.

Lucas was being held in the Williamson County Jail on a $7,000 bond with a court date scheduled for 1 p.m. on December 8.

Authorities confirmed Lucas was a convicted felon on probation.
