One suspect was arrested following a double burglary at two Nashville businesses.

The first crime took place just before 1:30 a.m. Thursday at Slim and Husky’s Pizza Beeria in the 900 block of Buchanan Street. The second happened just after 1:30 a.m. at Consider the Wldflwrs, a jewelry store in the 1800 block of 9th Avenue North.

The back doors were smashed in both of these cases, and the suspect was caught on camera.

The suspect, later identified as Quincy Collins, allegedly took alcohol from the pizza business, where he also tried to take cash, but there wasn’t any in the drawer. From the jewelry store, thousands of dollars in merchandise was taken, but police confirmed it had been recovered.

However, several stolen rings were not found until Collins was taken downtown. They were found in his sock. It's estimated he stole $15,000 worth of jewelry.

Authorities said alarms went off at both locations, and officers showed up at the scene and saw the burglar in the parking lot as he was leaving. He was taken into custody.

Collins was facing charges of theft and vandalism. Further details were not immediately available as the investigation remained ongoing.
