A shooting call led police to a woman carrying thousands of dollars’ worth of drugs in Nashville.

Metro Nashville Police were called to an apartment on Ed Temple Boulevard in North Nashville Wednesday, due to reports of shots fired during a robbery.

While on scene, an officer reported seeing a woman, identified as Margarita Owens, pick up a bag of Xanax bars and stuff them into her clothing.

According to an affidavit, the officer said that baggie contained 392 Xanax bars – worth thousands if sold on the street.

Police said they searched her apartment and found more drugs packed in baby bottles.

Owens allegedly admitted she wanted to sell the drugs in order to pay her rent.
