Officials Celebrate In 'Topping Out' Ceremony

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A new headquarters for the Metro Nashville Police Department became one step closer to completion.

The uppermost beam was put into place by construction crews at a 'topping out' ceremony Friday.

That beam was signed by Mayor Megan Barry, the construction project manager, and Metro police officials.

An American flag and a tree for the new site on Boswell Avenue were also presented at the ceremony.
