A new mobile gas service has gained popularity in Nashville, and has been pumping gas for drivers wherever they may be.

The gas on the go service is called Yoshi, and Co-founder Bryan Frist said it started in Nashville in July.  "We started with two trucks over the summer with a few hundred customers and now we're well into the thousands," he said.

Marcia Kautz has become a regular customer of Yoshi. She said she can't do without the new mobile gas service.  "If I can figure out a way to get multiple things done and it takes less of my time, and I can spend more time at work and with my children and family and friends I'm all about it," she said.

For a 15 dollar a month membership fee her car is filled up once a week, and Frist said she saves 10 to 20 cents off pump prices.  "We're getting gas from the same place gas stations get it, so we have a lower cost basis but we don't have a lot of the overhead," he said.

So why is this service such an automatic hit?  Frist said he has an idea.  "We did a quick calculation and found the average person spends about seven to eight hours each year at the gas pump, so what you're saving is not the money it's the time," he said.

Less time at the pump means more time elsewhere, and for customers like Kautz, that's priceless.  "Modern conveniences I'm all about," she said.  "It just makes life so much simpler."

If you choose the non-member option, you don't have to pay the 15-dollar monthly membership fee, but the gas will cost you a little more than the price at the pump.
