Nonprofit Delivers Hundreds Of Books By Bicycles

Hundreds of books were delivered on bicycles to Dodson Elementary School thanks to the nonprofit group Ride for Reading.

Students at the Hermitage school received more than 500 books.

They were delivered ina special way. They came in on bikes. Ride for Reading has been delivering books via bicycles to students in low-income areas for nearly a decade.

The program was started by a Metro School teacher back in 2008 and has grown into a nationwide campaign that's delivered more than 300,000 books to students across the country.
