The brother of two men suspected in a series of burglaries throughout the Nashville area has been arrested.

According to an affidavit, Richard L. Black was taken into custody at the corner of Nolensville Road and Edmondson Pike. His brothers, Roger and William, remain at large.

Roger and William Black have been identified as suspects in two liquor store burglaries from mid-November, as well as other crimes in south Nashville.

Mostly recently, the suspects were linked to a burglary at a Delta Express gas station Monday morning in Hillsboro Village. In that case, the suspects used a crowbar to pry their way inside and allegedly stole cigarettes.

Not long after, a Jets Pizza in Green Hills was also burglarized.

Richard Black was arrested in connection with the latter two burglaries.

At the time of his arrest, police said Black was in a GMC Sierra crew cab truck, which matched the description of the suspect vehicle.

Inside, officers reportedly found chewing tobacco and change that was still in rolls. Police said he also had 100 $1 bills in his pocket.

William Black has multiple Davidson County convictions for burglary, aggravated assault and escape. His brother, Roger, is on parole and has multiple convictions for burglary in Davidson, Cumberland and Bledsoe Counties.
