Police were able to break up a robbery in North Nashville after allegedly catching the suspects in the act.

According to an affidavit from Metro Nashville Police, detectives were out patrolling an area along Westport Drive Thursday night when they saw three men pull up in a silver Hyundai Sonata.

They approached a man who was checking his mailbox and allegedly pull out guns, demanding money from the victim.

Officers immediately arrested all three suspects, identified as Derrick Archibald, Octavious Mannie and Tony Scoggin.

During questioning, investigators said two of them implicated themselves in another robbery that had just happened about an hour before on Iris Drive. The third suspect reportedly admitted to being a part of it.

In that robbery, the victim had cash stolen. When police searched the alleged getaway car, they reportedly found a gun, a paintball gun and $270 in cash.
