Arrest Made In Fatal Clarksville Shooting

An 18-year-old has been arrested after being accused of shooting and killing a man in Clarksville.

Officers were called to Beech Street at 11 p.m. Saturday after getting reports of shots fired. When they arrived, they found a man, identified as 21-year-old Devonte Wilkerson, lying on the ground with a gunshot wound. They also found a juvenile female inside an apartment with a gunshot wound to her leg. 

Both victims were transported to Tennova Hospital. Wilkerson was pronounced dead when they arrived. The juvenile was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she was last listed in stable condition.

A criminal homicide warrant was issued for 18-year-old Timothy Hutcherson. Authorities confirmed he turned himself in before 11 a.m. Sunday to the Montgomery County Jail. He was being held without bond.

Police had also been searching for a 25-year-old person of interest. They confirmed he was located, interviewed, and was no longer being sought.

Reports stated Hutcherson was acquainted with the victims.
