A woman was held at gunpoint during an attempted carjacking near a Nashville neighborhood.
The incident happened late Thursday night at the intersection of Village Way and Amalie Drive.
Officials with Metro Nashville Police said the woman was driving on Village Way when a black SUV sped around her and stopped at a stop sign for several minutes.
Another SUV pulled up behind her and someone walked up to her driver’s side door and demanded that she get out of the car.
The woman was able to speed away and said she heard two gunshots fired toward her vehicle. She wasn’t hurt.
She drove to a nearby Walmart on Edmondson Pike where she called 911.
A description of the suspects was not known.
