Neighbor Says She Saw Murder Suspect Fleeing Scene

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Investigators said Jason Scott Huskey is responsible for killing Marnita Dunn in Lincoln County.

Dunn was reported missing Friday after she failed to show up for an appointment. Hours later, investigators discovered her body a short distance from her car on the property of District Attorney Charles Crawford.

Joyce Guerin lives next door to the victim's home in Flintville, Tennessee.

The town of about 5,000 people may have been considered a quiet and peaceful place to live, but what happened on Friday morning was quite the contrary.

Guerin said she heard a gun shot.

"I got up, come out, looked through the front door, the back door, but didn't see anything," said Guerin.

The animal lover chalked it up to someone goofing off after a wild night. Guerin went back inside her house only to go back outside 15-minutes later.

"I heard two shots right together. Bang, Bang! So, that scared me," she said.

Guerin said when she got up, she saw lights coming from Marnita Dunn's home with someone moving around.

"He jumped in the car, and went out. He didn't even stop at the stop sign. He went way flying to 64," she recalled.

Guerin still wasn't sure what happened. Hours later, Franklin County Sheriff's deputies arrested Husky charging him with 1st-degree homicide.

Joyce Guerin said she didn't know her 46-year old neighbor very well, but she was always very nice whenever she did come around.
