Mayor Karl Dean Tours Greer Stadium

Nashville, Tenn. - Mayor Karl Dean got a first hand look at all the major improvements at Greer Stadium.

Mayor Dean, along with officials from the Nashville Sounds toured the newly renovated stadium Monday.

"I think the news everyone wants to hear is how do the restrooms look, the restrooms look a lot better, and I really wanted to say thank you to these guys. They put more money into this project than they were required to in the lease. They've stepped up to do everything they've possibly can to let the fans of Nashville know that they are serious about making this a good experience for the fans and for families," said Dean.

The Sounds' owners invested more than $2 million to improve the stadium which included the scoreboard and a new customer service booth.

"This city has done a lot in the past ten years in terms of getting itself in the ADA compliance, and getting this stadium where it needs to be is a step that's long over due and I'm very happy about that," said Dean.

Mayor Dean will throw out the first pitch at the Sounds' season opener on April 9.
