TENNESSEE RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL TICKET GIVEAWAY CONTEST
SPONSORED BY THE TENNESSEE RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL AND
NEWSCHANNEL 5 NETWORK
APRIL 22 - MAY 17, 2013

Beginning Monday, April 22, 2013, and continuing through the contest period, the rules and regulations for the TENNESSEE RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL TICKET GIVEAWAY CONTEST will be available on NewsChannel5.com.  The contest period is April 22 through May 17, 2013, with entries accepted beginning Monday, April 22, 2013 through Friday, May 17, 2013 (at 11a.m. CDT).  Prizes will be awarded each Friday during the contest period:  Friday, April 26; Friday, May 3; Friday, May 10; and Friday, May 17, 2013.   

HOW TO ENTER:
Beginning Monday, April 22, 2013 and continuing through 11a.m. (CDT) Friday, May 17, 2013, viewers in the NewsChannel 5 viewing area can go to the Contest Section of NewsChannel5.com (http://www.newschannel5.com) and click on a directional graphic labeled TENNESSEE RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL TICKET GIVEAWAY CONTEST where viewers will be linked to an entry form.  To enter, each participant must complete the TENNESSEE RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL TICKET GIVEAWAY CONTEST entry form providing their first and last name, street address (no P.O. boxes), city, state, zip code, phone number including area code,  e-mail address, and submit it to NewsChannel5.com.  A person can register for the contest at any time during the contest period on NewsChannel5.com, but can only enter one time in the contest.  The entry must be submitted by the person whose name appears on the entry form; entries cannot be submitted for another person or in another person's name.  In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting an on-line entry, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the person in whose name the e-mail account is registered. No entries will be accepted by mail or by delivery to NewsChannel 5.  Only entries posted on NewsChannel5.com will be eligible.  All entries must be posted by 11a.m. (CDT) on each Friday of the contest period to be eligible for that week's selection process.  All entries will remain in the pool from week to week to be eligible for each weekly selection process except for previous weeks' winners.  All entries must be completed in their entirety to be eligible. 

HOW TO WIN:
Each Friday during the contest period at no later than 11:15a.m. (CDT), there will be a random selection process to determine the weekly winners as follows:  one (1) winner determined on April 26, 2013; one (1) winner determined on May 3, 2013; one (1) winner determined on May 10, 2013; and one (1) winner determined on May 17, 2013.  There will be a total of four (4) winners during the contest period. 

Winners on each date will be notified by email or phone on or about Friday, April 26; Friday, May 3; Friday, May 10; Friday, May 17, 2013, by a member of the NewsChannel 5 staff.  Their names will be posted on NewsChannel5.com on the same date.

After each weekly winner has been selected and notified of winning, if any of the weekly winners are declared ineligible or elect not to accept the prize, another selection process will be conducted from the remaining entries to determine any alternate winner(s) for that week.  This process will continue until one (1) weekly winner is determined on each of the four (4) dates.

Odds of winning will be determined by the total number of entries received.

PRIZE:
Four (4) adult day admission tickets to the Tennessee Renaissance Festival at Castle Gwynn in Arrington, TN. 

Tickets can be used on the following dates:  May 4, May 5, May 11, May 12, May 18, May 19, May 25, May 26, and Memorial Day, May 27, 2013.  Festival hours are 10am - 6pm CDT.

ACTUAL RETAIL VALUE OF PRIZE:  $80.00
(Actual retail value is the designated value of the prize as determined by the Tennessee Renaissance Festival, provider of the prize.)

ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS:
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE OR WIN.  A purchase will not increase your chance of winning. Void where prohibited.  All Federal, state, local, and municipal laws and regulations apply.

Open to legal residents who live or work in the NewsChannel 5 viewing area.   

Must be 18 years of age or older to enter and/or win. 

Winners must provide name, address, phone number, date of birth and Social Security number and/or Federal ID number.

Full-time and part-time employees of NewsChannel 5 Network, LLC, Journal Communications, Inc., the Tennessee Renaissance Festival, and any organization or agency affiliated with this contest, their immediate family or anyone who resides in the same household as the employee are ineligible to enter and/or win.

CONDITIONS:
All prizes and/or any portion of the prize are non-refundable, non-redeemable, and non-transferable.  No cash substitution will be available. Prizes may be substituted should they be unavailable due to circumstances beyond the station's control.

One person using the prizes must be 18 years of age or older.  Any child must be accompanied by their parent and/or legal guardian. 

Winners are responsible for all other expenses except as listed under PRIZE in the contest rules.  NewsChannel 5 Network and the Tennessee Renaissance Festival will not provide any money for any expenses incurred as a result of entering the contest and/or claiming or using the prize, including but not limited to transportation, meals, beverages, and other incidental expenses incurred while claiming or using the PRIZE. 

NewsChannel 5 or the Tennessee Renaissance Festival are not responsible for any tickets that are lost or stolen and will not replace any tickets nor will the purchase price of the tickets be refunded.

Winners are solely responsible for any applicable taxes, fees, and duties. All Federal, state, and local taxes apply except as listed under PRIZE.  Value of prizes equaling $600.00 or an aggregate of $600.00 or more won in any station-conducted contest during any one (1) calendar year period is reported to the Internal Revenue Service as additional income received. The amount reported to the IRS for income tax purposes will be the actual retail value of the prize at the time the contest is initiated, or as soon thereafter as an accurate determination of value can be made. Actual retail value is determined by NewsChannel 5 and the Tennessee Renaissance Festival in their sole discretion.   

Winners must claim their prize at the business offices of NewsChannel 5 located at 474 James Robertson Parkway, Nashville, TN 37219, during normal business hours, Monday-Friday, 9:00a.m.-5:00p.m., after they are notified.  Any prize not claimed by close of business on Thursday, May 23, 2013, will remain the property of NewsChannel 5.  No prizes will be mailed. No exceptions.

Valid identification (driver's license, birth certificate, Social Security card, or valid state ID) must be presented to NewsChannel 5 to claim the prize. NewsChannel 5 is not required to honor other forms of identification or any identification that has been tampered with or altered.

Winners will be required to sign a liability release form relieving NewsChannel 5, LLC, Journal Communications, Inc., and the Tennessee Renaissance Festival of any liability for damage or harm winner might incur as a result of claiming or using the prize. Failure to sign the release form will result in forfeiture of the prize. 

Entry in the contest will serve as agreement for the participant's name to be posted on NewsChannel5.com for contest reporting purposes only.

NewsChannel 5 Network and the Tennessee Renaissance Festival reserve the right to use contest winners' names, voices, photographs, and/or likeness for rebroadcast and/or promotional and publicity purposes at any time without advance permission or knowledge required and without additional compensation on NewsChannel 5, NewsChannel 5+, NewsChannel 5 HD, and NewsChannel5.com.

Winners and/or any person using the prizes agree that the prize will not be sold nor in any other manner be used in direct promotion of any business.

All entries become the property of NewsChannel 5 and the Tennessee Renaissance Festival and will not be acknowledged or returned.  Entries may be used for marketing purposes.

Due to unforeseen circumstances that can arise from time to time, the TENNESSEE RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL TICKET GIVEAWAY CONTEST on NewsChannel5.com can be discontinued at any time during the promotional period.

NewsChannel 5 and the Tennessee Renaissance Festival are not responsible if any potential winner notification is not received by telephone or for any reason due to inaccurate contact information provided at the time of entry or if the e-mail it sends to a potential winner is misdirected or bounces back or is intercepted by SPAM or other e-mail filters.

NewsChannel 5 reserves the right to final decision in all matters regarding the contest.

NewsChannel 5 is not responsible for any failure to access NewsChannel5.com or the TENNESSEE RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL TICKET GIVEAWAY CONTEST section due to technical difficulties with NewsChannel5.com's host provider, an electrical failure, acts of God outside of station control, or any other Internet-related malfunction.  NewsChannel 5 and the Tennessee Renaissance Festival are not responsible for any system malfunction on the part of NewsChannel 5's Internet service provider, host provider, hardware or software.  Neither NewsChannel 5 nor the Tennessee Renaissance Festival is responsible for any system malfunction on the part of the entrant.  Specifically, NewsChannel 5, and the Tennessee Renaissance Festival are not responsible for any system malfunction with the entrant's Internet service provider or computer (hardware or software).  NewsChannel 5 and the Tennessee Renaissance Festival are not responsible for any technical malfunction as it relates to any virus or worm contracted by the entrant as a result of entering the contest.  It is assumed that the entrant will have adequate virus protection.  NewsChannel 5 reserves the right to cancel the TENNESSEE RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL TICKET GIVEAWAY CONTEST at any time if there is any technical corruption as it relates to a virus of any kind.  In the event the contest is cancelled, NewsChannel 5 and the Tennessee Renaissance Festival reserve the right to conduct a random selection to award the prizes from among all eligible, non-suspect, entries received prior to the time of the action or event warranting such cancellation. 

NewsChannel 5 and the Tennessee Renaissance Festival are not responsible for late, illegible, incomplete, altered, lost or misdirected entries, for any incorrect or inaccurate entry information, whether caused by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the contest, or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in the contest, or for failure to receive entries due to transmission failure or technical failures of any kind and such entries will be void. NewsChannel 5 and the Tennessee Renaissance Festival are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, human, printing or other errors, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment or software, inability to access any website or online service, or any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation in downloading any materials in this contest.  NewsChannel 5 and the Tennessee Renaissance Festival reserve the right to void all entries made through any robotic, automatic, mechanical, programmed or similar entry duplication method and to disqualify any individual using such a method.  NewsChannel 5 and the Tennessee Renaissance Festival reserve the right to disqualify any entries by persons determined to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the contest. 

LIMITATIONS:
NewsChannel 5 Network, LLC, Journal Communications, Inc., and the Tennessee Renaissance Festival, their parent, subsidiary, and affiliated companies, officers, directors, agents or employees are not responsible for any expenses the winner(s) incur due to illness, injury, or loss of life in claiming or using their prize(s). 

RULES:
Any persons violating any of the above rules may be required to forfeit prize(s). 

Rules may be modified at any time during the contest period with such changes announced and made available at the studios of NewsChannel 5 and on NewsChannel5.com.
