RECIPE # 4310 - SHRIMP BORDELAISE - Tuesday, May 12, 2009



1/4 lb butter

2 chopped green onions

2 t fresh garlic

1/4 t cayenne pepper

1/4 t salt

1 pinch basil

1 pinch oregano

1 pinch thyme

1 c julienned mushrooms

1 pound shrimp, shelled and deveined

2 sprigs chopped fresh parsley

2 c cooked pasta

1 c Parmesan cheese

1/4 c white wine

Heat a skillet on a medium high heat.  Melt the butter.  Add garlic, green onions, mushrooms, white wine, cayenne, salt and one pinch each of basil, oregano, and thyme.  Saute for 5 minutes.  Mix well.  Add shrimp to skillet.  Stir to mix.  Add parsley and cook until shrimp is pink.  Ladle over the pasta.  Finish with a little Parmesan.
