Semi-Truck Plows Through Dairy Queen

Posted:

SMITHVILLE, Tenn. - A semi-truck went through a Dairy Queen Monday morning. The restaurant was closed and no one was inside at the time.

Smithville police officer Bradley Tatrow said if there were people inside, there certainly would have been fatalities.

The incident occurred by the intersection of Short Mountain Road and Highway 70 in Smithville.

The driver told officials he blacked out and did not remember the incident. He woke up inside the Dairy Queen.

Tatrow said the driver was not injured.

Officials said the driver was possibly hypoglycemic, and was on his way to pick up a truck load in Gordonsville.
