CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Rebecca Hart, accused of murdering her father, had a preliminary hearing Thursday, and the judge bound the 18-year-old's case to the grand jury.

Last week, Clarksville police found 50-year-old Gilbert Hart shot to death inside his home.

Less than 24 hours later, police arrested the victim's daughter, Rebecca Hart; the victim's 17-year-old son, Alexander Hart; and 15-year-old, J.P. George, for the murder.

During testimony on Thursday officers revealed the three plotted the murder against Hart at least two months before his death.

Rebecca Hart, sat in a Clarksville courtroom on Thursday as detectives told how she admitted she did not want to have anything to do with the murder, but drove the shooter to the scene.

"I saw a little of an individual who appeared to be lying down on the couch - couldn't tell anything else at that moment," said Jennifer Sullivan, Clarksville Police Department.

Detective Timothy Anderson said Rebecca, who goes by Becca, was interviewed three times and some of her admission was played in court.

"They went and picked up J.P. George and returned to the house and she dropped them off," said Anderson.

Becca admitted that at least two months before her father's murder, there was a plot to kill him, but she did not want to be involved.

"She said her brother had given someone a weapon and money to carry out the murder of her father," said Anderson.

Anderson said during their interview, Becca said she knew she would was in trouble, but not as much as her brother or the 15-year-old who allegedly pulled the trigger.

"I explained to her that there was no difference between the driver of the car and the people who went into the house - the charges are the same," said Anderson.

Detectives said Becca did tell them the last conversation she had with her father.

"The last thing her father said to her was that she would not amount to anything and she would probably never make it to college. I repeated my question and I asked her, What was the last thing that you said to your father? She said ‘maybe you're right' and she turned and left the residence," said Anderson.

Anderson did not give a reason, why anyone wanted to kill Gilbert Hart. He said both Becca and Alex said their father was not a nice person.

Alex Hart and J.P. George are in the Juvenile Court system.

Rebecca Hart is facing first degree murder charges and her case has been bound over to the grand jury. Her bond was kept at $1 million.
