Bottom layer:
4 eggs
1 c self-rising flour
1/2 c butter
1 16-oz can chocolate syrup
1/2 t salt
1 t vanilla
Mix well; pour into 9-inch pan sprayed with Pam. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 25-30 minutes. Cool completely.
Middle Layer:
1/2 c butter
2 c confectioners' sugar
1 T green creme de menthe liqueur
Blend well. Beat until fluffy. Ice the cooled bownies. Refrigerate until firm.
Top layer:
1 c chocolate chips
4 T butter
Melt chocolate chips and butter in a double boiler or heavy saucepan. Cool slightly. Spread over creme de menthe frosting. Spread competely to edge of pan to seal cake. Cool entire cake. Slice with a very sharp knife into small pieces, it's very rich! Yield: 24-30 servings.
