(AP) NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A bond hearing for a convicted murderer accused of selling the gun used to kill ex-NFL quarterback Steve McNair has been continued to Friday.
U.S. Magistrate Cliff Knowles in Nashville on Wednesday granted the continuance for 33-year-old Adrian J. Gilliam Jr. of La Vergne.
Public defender Hugh Mundy told the court Gilliam has asked him to interview a couple of new witnesses. Prosecutors did not object.
Gilliam is charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm. Court documents say he admitted selling a 9 mm Bryco/Jennings pistol to Sahel Kazemi for $100.
Police have said Kazemi shot McNair at his condo July 4 before killing herself.
Gilliam, a car salesman, faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
