Thief Pulls Knife On Local CVS Pharmacy Employee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 for information helping solve the robbery of a pharmacy in South Nashville. The thief pulled a knife and threatened the life of the victim.

The CVS Pharmacy at 4709 Nolensville Road was the target of a thief at 10 a.m. on Wednesday May 6.

The robbery was caught on tape. The clerks watched a man grab a cloth shopping bag. Then he casually walked around the store filling it.

"Caught the attention of the store management and the clerks and he started walking toward the door," said Jim Lambert, Metro Police Department.

Police said that was when it got interesting and a little dangerous.

"When he did, the clerk confronted him. At that time the man pulled a knife, threatened the clerk and ran out the door with the merchandise," said Lambert.

Witnesses told police the man ran into the parking lot and got into a blue van. Police found the owner of the van, but he was not helpful.

"We've also shown the surveillance picture to the owner of the van to see if they know who this person is and they deny knowing anybody," said Lambert.

Witnesses described the suspect as 5'8" weighing close to 160 pounds. He appeared to be in his 30s.

"This is 10 a.m., bright, sunny day like today, and it happens at all hours during the day," said Lambert. "Someone should have seen him and knows who this guy is."
