Titans To Wear No. 9 Decal During Sunday's Game

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Titans decided to give Steve McNair an on-field memorial during the season.

The Number 9 decal will be worn on the back of player's helmets starting Sunday during the pre-season opener against the Buffalo Bills.

Titans coaches and sideline personnel also will have the option to wear a No. 9 lapel pin.

McNair, who was murdered by his girlfriend last month, wore the number 9 jersey during his 10 seasons with the Titans.

The Titans said they were also working on other ways to honor McNair during the season.

McNair had already been inducted into the team's Ring of Honor at LP Field last season before his death.
