NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A Wilson County elementary school was honored with a ‘green' thumbs up for all of its hard work. Only three other schools in the state have the bragging rights to the honor.

This past Earth Day, Southside became only the 4th school in Tennessee to receive a very special gift.
The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, named Southside a TP3 Green school.
Southside for the past year has made a conscious effort to be "green" by recycling, turning out lights and making their own back yard, a place of learning.
A school can become a TP3 school by following several levels of commitment to pollution prevention throughout the school year.
