Police Search For Women That Stole Rapper's Belongings

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Metro police are looking for party crashers at the downtown Hilton Hotel. They're suspected of stealing thousands of dollars worth of a rapper's personal belongings out of his hotel room.

The crime was caught on tape, and police need help to identify the thieves. It was Sunday, June 7 at about 1:45 a.m.

Rappers from Florida had just finished a concert at the Municipal auditorium. They went back to their hotel, the Hilton in downtown Nashville.

There was a party in the hotel lobby where they met three or four women.

"I don't believe they were part of their little entourage they were with," said James Vivrette, Metro police department.

Police said the women mingled with guests, and they left hotel but came back.

"The four females came back and gained entry into the hotel room. At that time took several personal items belonging to the individual in excess of about $60,000," said Vivrette.

The stolen items included expensive jewelry and a laptop computer. The women were caught on tape, and police said they appear to be in their early 20s.

"It shows a lot of good facial features as well as clothing within the hotel, so they're very identifiable, I believe, to the individual that would know them," said Vivrette.
