(AP) NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Sophomore guard Charles Hinkle is leaving Vanderbilt immediately to continue his career elsewhere. Vanderbilt coach Kevin Stallings announced Hinkle's transfer Tuesday.
The 6-foot-4 guard from Los Alamitos, Calif., had played in 10 games this season and averaged 1.4 points and 0.5 rebounds. His career average here was 1.8 points and 0.8 rebounds in two seasons.
He sat out the 2007-08 season as a redshirt.
Stallings said he wishes Hinkle well. He called the guard a great kid with an outstanding work ethic and promised to do what he can to help Hinkle in the future.
