Wendy's Wonderful Kid Spotlight

By Rodney Dunigan

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Across Middle Tennessee there are hundreds of children looking for a family, a place to call home. This week in NewsChannel 5's Monday's Child series we spotlight 17-year-old Tim.

Tim is a friendly, respectful and athletic kid with a huge heart and personality to match.

"I love to help people. I want to be able to help people, and say you know I've saved somebody's life," said Tim.

He planned to pursue a career as a paramedic. For years he's bounced to different foster and group homes. What he truly wants is a loving family.

Tim does have issues with trust. He said he's been given false hope before but he hasn't given up on the idea of one day being adopted.

"That's the only way I can build trust. If you tell me your going to do something and you do it," said Tim.

Tim said he'd love to be welcomed into a younger family, a couple who possibly travels and likes to participate in athletic activities. Overall though he said he simply wants encouragement and support.

If you would like to meet Tim contact Jocelyn King the Wendy's Wonderful Kids recruiter at (615) 340-9737 or jocelyn.king@fcnashville.org.
