Flood Recovery Hotline

• UPDATE, April 28, 2011: A new flood recovery hotline has been established for victims still suffering from the May 2010 floods. The Flood Recovery Network's centralized number is 615-567-3232, and is intended as a one-stop resource for flood survivors with ongoing, unmet needs.

Requesting Federal Assistance From FEMA

• 16 Mobile Disaster Recovery Centers Open in Tennessee
• Homeowners who suffered flood damages should contact the Federal Emergency Management Agency at 800-621-FEMA or go to their web site at disasterassistance.gov. Those with mobile access can go to m.fema.gov.
• FEMA needs those who request assistance to 1) register online or by phone, 2) complete an SBA packet (sent after registration), and 3) send a copy of the insurance settlement statement to FEMA.
• More Kentucky Counties Designated for Disaster Assistance

Free Crisis Counseling Available to Flood Victims

• The Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities received a grant to provide free crisis counseling to individuals impacted by the severe storms, historic flooding, and tornados that began April 30, 2010.
