April Slayden McKinney / "Real Women of Philadelphia" Contest Finalist
INGREDIENTS:
1 whole wheat flour tortilla
1/4 t kosher salt
Cooking spray
3 oz. Philadelphia Cream Cheese
1 T pure maple syrup
1 T lemon juice
1/2 t kosher salt
2 turkey sausage patties, diced
2 T finely chopped red onion
1/2 c diced peaches
1/4 c blue cheese crumbles
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray both sides of tortilla with cooking spray and sprinkle with 1/4 tsp salt and poke liberally with fork. Bake 5-6 minutes on each side. Saute diced sausage and onion in 1 tbsp olive oil over medium high heat for 7-8 minutes, until sausage browns and onions are tender. Mix room temperature Philadelphia cream cheese with lemon juice, maple syrup, and 1/2 tsp salt. Spread cream cheese mixture on crispy tortilla shell, then sprinkle sausage mixture, diced peaches, and blue cheese on top. Place assembled pizza back in oven for about 5 minutes. Then sprinkle with parsley and ENJOY!
