Sheriff Challenges Election Results

LAWRRENCEBURG, Tenn.- Lawrence County Sheriff Kenny Taylor is challenging the results of the recent election that ended with him narrowly losing his bid for re-election.

Taylor filed a lawsuit late Friday after a NewsChannel 5 investigation raised questions about one of his opponents.

Mike Risner drew about 2,000 votes after he changed his voting registration to a shack in Lawrence County.

Risner claimed he lives there, but NewsChannel 5's Phil Williams discovered it deserted. Power records show very little electricity has been used there.

Risner actually lives on a 77-acre farm in Giles County.
