NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The estranged husband of a mother murdered in her own home has been charged with her death. The man's friend was also arrested as an accomplice.
Police said 41-year-old Timothy Bozza and 37-year-old Cory Cotham were being held without bond Tuesday night.
Bozza's wife, Veronica Bozza, was found dead inside her home Sunday, August 29 on New John Hagar Road. Her body was discovered by her boyfriend around 12:30 p.m. Police said around 11:30 a.m., she dropped off her 8-year-old son with her estranged husband on Thompson Lane.
Detectives with the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department said the two men conspired to kill Veronica Bozza. They said Cotham was the one who actually pulled the trigger. Both men were charged with first-degree murder.
Officials said the child was fine.
Police have not said why Bozza would want his wife dead. They said Veronica Bozza was from Milan, Italy and worked in the television and music industry.
