ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. – A man has been arrested for a home invasion murder last week in Ashland City.
Ashland City Police said that 27-year-old Timothy George Short was arrested on Thursday and charged with the first degree murder of Robert Guye, Jr. Short was originally arrested by Metro police on other charges and then brought to Ashland City to face charges.
The 54-year-old man's body was found on October 13 in the hallway of his home on Jefferson Street. Police said his family called a neighbor near the home and asked someone to go knock on his door because they hadn't heard from him. That's when his body was discovered inside the home.
Police said the murder was a result of a home invasion. It was the first murder in Ashland City in 30 years.
