NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Metro Nashville Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of $1,000 cash for clues that can help solve the murder of 52-year-old Thomas Turner, III.

Police said Turner was found deceased at 1 p.m. in a hotel room at the InTown Suites located at 1621 Bell Road on July 28, 2009.

Turner, who had a drug addiction, had been living there and making some extra money by working on and repairing computers.

Police said robbery did not appear to be a motive as there were several high priced computers left behind. There was also no forced entry into the room. Police think that Turner may have known the person or persons responsible for his murder.

"Because we think he let the person into the room. They sat down for some time before he was killed. There's no forced entry to the room," said Metro police detective Corey Wall.

Police said it appears to be some type of retaliation murder.

If you have information which might help Metro police solve Turner's murder, call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME. If the information results in the arrest and prosecution, Nashville Crime Stoppers will pay a reward of $1000 cash.

You can also submit tips through their website at, or text the word CASH, and your message to: CRIMES (274637). You will remain anonymous.
