'Lighting Of The Green' Events Moved Inside For Weather

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Lipscomb University held its annual Lighting of the Green Tuesday night, but all events were moved inside the Allen Arena due to the weather.

The lighting of Lipscomb's Christmas tree happened just after 7 p.m. following a free concert.

Singer Amy Grant was joined by Susan Ashton and Dave Barnes. There were also performances by Lipscomb choruses and the Black Nativity 2010 Ensemble.

NewsChannel 5 meteorologist Lelan Statom was the host.

The Merry Marketplace with holiday gifts was inside Allen Arena from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
