(AP) COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - Drew Parker threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to David Dingus with 10 seconds remaining to lift Ensworth to a 28-21 victory over Baylor to win the Division II-AA state championship on Thursday night at Tucker Stadium.
Dingus wrestled the ball away from two defenders to score as the Tigers captured the state title just four seasons after their first varsity season in 2007.
Ensworth (10-2) rallied from a 21-7 third-quarter deficit to tie the game with 7:30 remaining.
Parker was 17 for 23 for 225 yards and two touchdowns, and Cornelius Elder rushed for 127 yards and a score on 18 carries.
Jacob Huesman was 8 for 14 for 96 yards and a touchdown, and rushed for 149 yards and two scores on 26 carries for Baylor (10-2).
